Emergency maintenance is a type of maintenance needed when a homeowner/renter is experiencing an unexpected water malfunction causing serious problems. The problem has to be addressed as soon as possible, hence the “emergency”.
For example, call the Emergency number when;
Your basement is filling with water and you haven’t any means of shutting the water off in the house; you cannot locate the main water valve; or the valve has seized making it impossible to turn the water off. Then by all means call the Emergency Maintenance number to have a Town staff member turn the water off at the curb.
Please do not call the emergency number if you have a sewer back up. This is not considered an emergency for Town staff, but rather call a sewer service or plumber to deal with the matter.
Council meetings are held in Town Office Council Chambers beginning at 6:00 p.m.The public can view the meeting via ZOOM; retrieve required link information from the Town Herbert Facebook page published on meeting day. Read More
